THE FASCINATION OF ARTISTIC DECORATION
Among those elements, which most lend tone and elegance to a stylish home,
is the painted and decorated door. Villas, palaces and mansion-houses
still bear witness to the essential role played by the door in the evolution
of furnishings - primarily its symbolic significance, announcing and introducing
the house and its inner spaces.
An elegant bedroom or a prestigious hall cannot but be heralded by doors
in harmony with the ensemble. Thus, if art is to be a prime factor in
the intentions of the designer, it follows that the door is an unparalleled
opportunity for aesthetic enrichment.

THE THREE VALUES
OF FLORES DOORS
Three factors characterise Flores Doors:
* Above all, the aesthetic values which imply fidelity to the ornamental
canons of the great Italian tradition. Festoons, garlands, medallions,
friezes, grotesques, polichrome profiles and mouldings are the principal
decorative motifs used in the decoration of our doors.
* Obviously a door cannot be merely a beautiful object, it must also be
practical and robust, particularly if it is to be used in the context
of hotels, or farm holiday centers. Flores have brought their long experience
to bear on its problem, producing doors which offer the eye, and the touch,
the delicacy and beauty of old paintings, whilst, in reality, they are
both extremely resistant to wear and tear, and when required are also
washable.
* Doors are not simple furnisphings, but are structural elements of the
house itself. If the house is old, or is characterised by traditional
materials, it is indispensable that the doors should blend perfectly with
their surroundings.
* The exclusive manual procedure perfected by Flores, recreate on their
doors the precise effect of antique wood and colour.
