DECORATIVE KITCHENS

All the most recent tendencies have shown a strong preference for the classic style in kitchen design, an unmistakeable style employing natural materials and colours, and decorative schemes drawn from popular art traditions.
In a time of almost universal banality and hype, where machines threaten to render the hand of man obsolete, Flores offers the best possible answer, producing kitchens which are constructed, painted and decorated entirely by hand.
Flores kitchens are works of art, but in the design and production of a kitchen the search for beauty must be combined with a similar concern for quality. The materials used must be resistant to water and heat, to wear and tear, and to the inevitable stains. Exterior and interior surfaces must be treated with safe innocuous products, whilst considerations of safety and hygiene demand that sharp corners and edges be eliminated, and that all working surfaces are thoroughly washable.
Thanks to their long experience and skill, Flores have entirely resolved this series of technical problems.

The serene beauty of the kitchen in Tuscan country style. The wooden structures, painted and decorated with classical ornamental motifs, are perfectly integrated with hand-decorated ceramics embellished with a delicate crackle finish. The base units, tiled in a brickwork effect, are constructed in specially prepared wood, completely stable and resistant to water and damp. The painted surfaces are washable, and are available in a variety of colours and decorative schemes.

The much prized crackle finish which embellishes period ceramics. The grouting
of ceramic tiles is guaranteed against staining and water infiltrations.

An example of a kitchen in Mediterranean country style. Here the sunny colours,
the freshness of hand painted ceramics and decorations which recall the flora
of southern Italy landscape, all contribute to create, with this kitchen, a vivid
and bright atmosphere. All the furniture is of solid wood construction, and the
base units and the tables have tiled tops surfaces.

Flores have developed a new and original
approach to the use of fine ceramics: their
combination with decorative elements on wood.
In this way an effect of great harmony and
refinement is achieved.

FURNITURE FOR THE KITCHEN

Flores offers a rich and imaginative range of painted and decorated furniture for the kitchen,
including the return of the much loved sideboard. Nothing has improved upon this traditional item for storing all types of pots, pans and kitchen utensils, as well as jams, flour, pasta, rice etc.
Flores produces sideboards of every type and size, including corner pieces.
The traditional kitchen dresser deserves a chapter to itself, and here again Flores produces a wide variety of forms, including single unit bodies with glazed upper section, double unit bodies with long or small windows, with integrated plate racks or shelving.
A versatile and beautiful piece of kitchen furniture is the traditional Italian madia, a cupboard in which one can put almost everything. In the past, these were intended for the preparation and storage of home-baked bread, but Flores have adapted the basic forms to take account of today’s requirements, producing a variety of models.
Flores also offers a wide range of tables, surfaced with fine ceramic tiles, or with wooden tops adorned with painted decorations. All these pieces will harmonise with existing interiors both traditional and contemporary.
